- UCLA: The film program at UCLA is widely considered the best film school in the country. The school has one Bachelor’s degree program for film students who are just starting their college career and also has five different Masters programs and one Doctoral program all related to film.
- AFI: The American Film Institute, known more commonly as AFI, is a well-known film school located in Los Angeles. USC: Also located in Los Angeles is the University of Southern California which has a multi-faceted film program which is known for the impressive technology available to its film students as well as a long list of alumni active in student affairs. - CalTech: And speaking of technology, the final film school which makes the California list of best film schools is CalTech. Although it’s a school for science and technologies, it has a film department which is noted as one of the best in the country, making use of modern technology to create modern art.
